WW1 Centenary Project Localism Grants

Swale Borough Councillors have allocated £15,000 in grant funding from which small grants, up to a maximum value of £750 to support local community projects commemorating the WW1 Centenary in Swale can be awarded. This funding has been made available throughout the WW1 Centenary period 2014 - 2018 and in the first three years of the grant scheme supported 73 commemorative projects, details of which can be found in the project summaries published below.

Grants cannot be used to support items which should be funded by mainstream public expenditure or awarded to individuals. Grant applications are being processed upon receipt, so funds are being allocated on a first come first served basis.

Other project funding options

If you need funding to make your centenary project happen please contact your local Heritage Lottery Fund office can offer help and advice on developing your application. In addition Member Grants are also an option.
