The Swale Means Business website, is aimed to help those looking to start, expand or relocate their business to the borough. There is also information on the website for those interested in investing in Swale.

The borough offers a wide range of commercial land and property, from hot desks and serviced offices for start-ups to workshops, industrial units and warehouses. You can search our property register to see what’s available.

Business E-Bulletin - keeping commerce connected

Our monthly E-Bulletin, aims to keep local businesses in the loop when it comes to discussing aspirations for and opportunities within the borough. Packed with insightful information and covering issues relevant to Swale commerce, including funding, events, training and employment, we hope that it becomes a staple means to keep communication flowing between the council and the business community.

If you’re starting a business or have run one for many years, we can provide you with free support. 

Starting in Business Workshops

You can sign up for two half day workshops if you’re starting a new business in Swale. The workshops will go into the basics and help you to develop your idea. 

The sessions are run as a small group session with like-minded people, in a creative and supportive setting. 

The workshops run across two half days and include: 

By the end of the workshop you will be able to create a business plan. 

After the workshop, you can sign up for three one-to-one advice sessions with a business advisor to continue to develop your idea. To book a place, choose a time and sign up at our upcoming events page

Direct Business Advice (one to one advice sessions)

Any Swale business can access free one to one advice from the council.
