Roles and Responsibilities

The role of the Public Services Board is to manage the delivery of the priorities set out in our strategy Realising our ambitions for Swale and the countywide Vision for Kent. It does this through coordinating and monitoring the work of the Thematic Partnerships.

Membership

Membership of the Public Services Board is made up of senior executives from the key sectors/agencies in the Borough. Membership of the Public Services Board is based on the ability to:

The Chair and Deputy Chair of the Public Services Board are appointed for a term of two years. Two places on the Public Services Board have been made available to representatives of the community, nominated through the Swale Community Empowerment Network. Attendance at the Public Services Board is also required of any Chairs (or, in their absence, Leads) of Thematic Partnerships and, where applicable, any ad hoc sub groups that the Public Services Board has chosen to create, where these individuals are not otherwise already members of the Board. These individuals do not have voting rights in the event that issues are voted upon at the Public Services Board.
