The Environmental Protection Team within the Environmental Services Department deal with a wide range of issues relating to pollution and potential pollution of the environment including air quality, noise and contaminated land.

Potentially contaminated sites that may affect drinking water, homes, horticulture and agriculture.

Environmental Permitting

Under the Pollution, Prevention and Control Act 1999, operators which generate pollutants need to obtain an operating permit.

Environmental Protection Team

We deal with environmental issues relating to contaminated land, air quality, industrial pollution control and statutory nuisance.
