We will be sending out emails next week asking people to confirm their details on the electoral register are correct.

If you provided an email address when you registered to vote, or completed other electoral forms, you should be receiving an email next week asking you to confirm your details are correct.

The email will ask you to help us keep the electoral register up-to-date by using a secure online system. This will ask you to provide secure codes that have been provided to the named recipient of the email.

It does not ask for other sensitive information such as bank, passport, or driving licence details, and you should always be wary of sites asking for this information.

Those who haven't provided an email address, and those who don't reply to the email, will be contacted by post in the usual way later in the year. For more information, visit our all about voting page.
