Any decision taken with regard to cessation of arts service form part of wider budget discussions and respond to medium term financial planning; nevertheless the impact from the reduction in partnership working is likely to reduce direct benefits in Swale both within the creative sector and communities.  Both funding organisations and community groups look to the local authority to provide a leadership role and to support and facilitate projects of wider community benefit particularly with regard to delivery of culture led regeneration projects e.g. Leysdown Rose-tinted, Sittingbourne Town Centre Development.

Yes - Further consultation has yet to be undertaken including a visit by Regional Executive Director from ACE on 16.1.2012 and follow-up meetings with ACE and North Kent Cultural Partners on 18.1.2012 and 14.2.2012.
