Adapting your home

for a changing climate

There are over 140,000 people living in roughly 60,000 homes across Swale. Most of these homes were designed for the climatic conditions at the time of build. Over time these conditions have changed and look set to continue to do so. Existing homes can be adapted to improve their comfort, resilience and energy and water efficiency. Cost effective solutions are available to householders looking to reduce the scale and scope of climate change impacts on their homes.

There are many low and no cost measures that can be undertaken to improve a home’s performance and comfort, which will also save the householder money.
