Casual Vacancy - One Borough Councillor

Notice is hereby given under Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 that a casual vacancy exists in the office of Borough Councillor for the Queenborough and Halfway ward of the Borough of Swale, following the resignation of Councillor Paul Hayes.

A by-election can be requested by two local government electors within the local authority area, giving notice to the Proper Officer.

Once such a request has been received the polling day for the by-election must be held between 25 and 35 working days of the request being received, as decided by the Returning Officer.
