The Stones Farm Development

Stones Farm development brief - Adopted 3 May 2011

The Swale Borough Local Plan allocates land at Stones Farm for approximately 600 dwellings and 15ha of public open space (policies H10 and C5). The purpose of this document is to guide the preparation of subsequent, more detailed planning policies.  It sets out design principles for the housing allocation; identifies a point of access off the A2; clarifies the development's relationship with the Sittingbourne Northern Relief Road; indicates how open space could be distributed through the development and details the integration of a partly bunded landscape buffer with open space to the east.

It now forms part of the Local Development Framework (LDF) for the Swale Borough.
