Sports Pitches
The Council are responsible for outdoor formal sports pitches and facilities in many of the parks and recreation grounds in Swale. These include football, rugby, tennis, and bowls.
A number of these facilities although owned or part owned by the Council are managed in partnership with other organisations to ensure the best possible local service provision.
Our grounds maintenance contractor, Blenwood, maintains the majority of the Councils pitches. There is a full specification of works during the season and reinstatement work is carried out at the end of each season to prepare for the next.
Pitches are booked through the Council or directly with the partner organisation running the facility and the following table lists all the facilities available and contacts for booking.
Before playing, clubs are requested to check pitch availability/ conditions on the pitch hotline.
