Sittingbourne artisan market

Wednesday 11 October

Monthly market returns this weekend

Sittingbourne’s Saturday market is back this weekend, with stalls selling handmade gifts, local produce and crafts.

The artisan market was set up following two successful test markets late last year organised by Swale Borough Council.

The market takes place on Saturday, 14 October, from 10am-2pm at the top end of Sittingbourne High Street, and runs on the second Saturday of the month throughout the year.

The market is being organised in close collaboration with the Market Co-operative (Sittingbourne) who manage the weekly Friday market. Any traders interested in a stall for future markets can contact them by email.

Following the success of the Sittingbourne artisan market, Swale Borough Council and the Market Co-operative have introduced a range of new specialist and themed markets to the town centre running on the fourth Saturday of the month.

These started with the Sittingbourne Food Festival in August, and are complementing the existing monthly artisan market and encourage more visitors to the town centre.
