Rubbish Tips and Recycling
There are a number of locations throughout the borough where you can take your waste and/or recyclable material.
There are three tips in the borough where you can take your waste and recyclable material, these are known as ˜Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs). There are also a number of sites where you can take some types of recyclable material (bottle banks, paper recycling bins, etc). These sites are known as 'Bring Sites'.
Local Rubbish Tips
The tips are run by Kent County Council (KCC) and NOT Swale Borough Council.

Trade/Business waste
Kent County Council operates 5 Transfer Stations across Kent which are able to accept some trade waste. A charge will be made for using the transfer stations. For more information, please visit the KCC website by visiting Kent County Council - Transfer Stations.
Bring Sites - What are they and where are they?
In addition to the Household Waste Recycling Centres there are a number of Bring Sites throughout the borough which can take certain types of recyclable waste. The table below shows you where the bring sites are and the materials that can be recycled.
