Risk Management Strategy and Guidelines

Risk Management

Swale Borough Council actively manages risk in order to contribute to meeting its objectives and statutory obligations.

All staff and members have a responsibility to identify and take action to manage risks.

The risk management process involves identifying risks and evaluating their impact. A scoring system is used based on likelihood of risk occurring coupled with the potential impact on the local authority. The risks identified can then be controlling through regular monitoring and reviewing.
