Proposed Wind Turbine Manufacturing Facility - Sheerness
Wind Turbines
The Port of Sheerness Ltd intends to submit a planning application for a development of a wind turbine manufacturing facility.
The planning application and associated applications for marine regulatory approval by the Marine Management Organisation will be accompanied by an Environmental Statement and suite of other documents.
Swale Borough Council have been asked for their opinion of the scope and methodology of the Environmental Impact Assessment in accordance with Regulation 13 of the Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2011.
A Scoping Report is now available. This is intended to assist the Council in formulating its Scoping Opinion and to inform other consultation bodies of the existing approach and progress of the Environmental Impact Assessmment. The Scoping Report will also indicate the intended content and structure of the resulting Environmental Statement.
