Planning Consultations

The Planning Policy team welcomes comments on its documents. You can now do this on-line through our agreement with Objective software.

Online consultation is part of the Government's e-government agenda and has advantages for both the Council and for you.

The key benefits of making comments online include the ability to:

• View all documents / representations (including other consultee comments)
• Search for comments on a particular topic or policy
• Check your comments have been received and track the outcome
• Be kept informed of updates or new drafts of documents
• Update personal details instantly
• Specify your preferred means of contact
• Save paper

You can read documents online but to comment online, you will first have to register your details.

You will then be provided with a password and username which will give you access to the consultation system.

Online help is available to guide you through the process. If you have previously provided your email address you should automatically receive a password and username from Objective.
