We signed the Nottingham Declaration in November 2007 and this Carbon Management Plan is an important element in meeting our obligations. It will also form part of our overarching climate change strategy. Child Protection and Safeguarding Children Policy
The Children Act 1989 states that the child's welfare is paramount and that every child has a right to protection from abuse, neglect and exploitation. Community Safety Plan

Our community is made up of a diverse range of individuals and groups with differing needs. We need to embrace the differences that we share to encourage tolerance and understanding. This Strategy sets out how we will achieve this objective.

Reliable information is a fundamental requirement for the Council to conduct its business efficiently and effectively. Freedom of Information
Individuals have the right of access to information about themselves under the Data Protection Act 1998. The Freedom of Information Act will extend this right to allow public access to all types of information held.

The purpose of the Safeguard Policy is to set out the Council’s framework for determining the circumstances where payments of LHA will be made to the landlord, instead of the tenant.
