Mill Site to be discussed at Local Engagement Forum

Members of the public will have an opportunity to direct questions to Essential Land, who will make a presentation on their preliminary ideas for the Mill Site in Sittingbourne.

The public meeting will be held in Phoenix House, Central Avenue, Sittingbourne, on Tuesday 6 July 2010 at 7pm.

The Local Engagement Forum includes representation from Swale Borough Council, Kent County Council, Kent Association of Local Councils and local partners, such as the Primary Care Trust and Kent Police.

Another item at the local engagement forum will be a presentation on the Swale Multi-Purpose Enterprise Centre - A Community Empowerment Scheme from Abdul Mohammed, from the Kent Small Enterprise Network.

During public session, members of the public living in the Borough of Swale may make a statement, submit a petition or ask the Chairman any question on any matter on which the Council has particular powers or duties, or which is of interest in the particular area.

Anyone who wants to ask a question should send it to Swale Borough Council’s Democratic Services team at Swale House. East Street, Sittingbourne, Kent ME10 3HT. Questions may also be phoned through on 01795 417330 or emailed to democraticservices@swale.gov.uk. Questions received three working days in advance will be taken first at the meeting.
