Our application process is designed to help us select the best person for the job in the fairest way possible.
Each vacancy includes a job description, which summarises the role you are applying for and a person specification, which describes the skills, experience and qualifications you need to be considered.
Once you have found a vacancy that you are interested in applying for, you can request a recruitment information pack which contains the application form, job description, employee specification and information on living in Swale and working for Swale Borough Council.

We will only shortlist people who can clearly demonstrate they meet our requirements, so make sure you provide all the relevant information.
If short-listed, we will ask you for two references, one of which should be from your current or most recent employer. The other should be from someone with direct knowledge of your work and skills, who is authorised by their organisation to provide the reference.
