Corporate Plan 2010/2013
Corporate Plan
Overview
The Corporate Plan document, (also called 'Shaping the Future of Swale') sets out how we will deliver essential services to improve the lives of the people that live, work and visit Swale. Some of the policies and programmes proposed form part of a longer-term view.
The plan provides details of how we will:
- Use the council's resources to meet local need
- Work jointly with a range of partners from several sectors to meet community priorities
- Develop initiatives to plan, deliver and improve services
- Measure the performance of our activities through clear targets and service monitoring.
We have four linked corporate priorities for all of Swale that will direct what the council does between 2010 and 2013 providing a framework for all our policies.
They are:
- Regenerating Swale
- Creating a cleaner and greener Swale
- Promoting a safer and stronger community
- Becoming a high performing organisation
These priorities have been developed by considering Swale's performance against a range of economic, social and environmental factors, and the change that are facing both the council and Swale as a whole, a range of research that helps us understand what is important to our communities and a 12 week consultation undertaken between July and September 2007.
