Cemetery Locations
We manage four cemeteries in the Borough. The three main cemeteries offer a full grave space in either a lawn or a kerb plot, or a cremated remains space in an upright or flat memorial plot. The main sites are:
- Bell Road, Sittingbourne ME10 4EB and Capel Road, Sittingbourne ME10 4EP
- Halfway Cemetery, Western Avenue, Isle of Sheppey ME12 3BS
- Love Lane Cemetery, Love Lane, Faversham ME13 8BJ
Murston Cemetery does not offer any new graves, only re-opening of existing graves.

Opening Times
As of 30 April 2012 the vehicle access gates to our cemeteries will be locked at 4pm Monday to Friday. However, pedestrian gates will remain open. The weekend locking times will remain unchanged and Winter locking during the months of Nov - Feb will be at 4pm when all gates will be locked off.

Cemetery Fees
The following fees and charges are applicable to residents* of the Borough of Swale. Non-residents are required to pay double the burial charges set out below, except where indicated otherwise (Child Burials). All fees are payable in advance and we do not charge VAT unless stated.

All persons living in the Borough at the time of death are defined as 'residents'. For those living outside the Borough at the time of death, a qualification of a minimum of 15 consecutive years residency in Swale at some time in the past is required.
