This page provides a list of the Council administered cemeteries and a list of cemetery fees and charges.
Cemetery Locations
There are four cemeteries administered by the Council in the Borough:
- Bell Road (including Capel Road), Sittingbourne
- Halfway Cemetery, Isle of Sheppey
- Love Lane Cemetery, Faversham
The three main cemeteries offer a full grave space in either a lawn or a kerb plot, or a cremated remains space in an upright or flat memorial plot.
There is a fourth cemetery:
- Murston Cemetery, Murston Church, Sittingbourne, but no longer offers grave or memorial plots. The council administers the on-going maintenance of the site.

Cemetery Fees
The following fees and charges are applicable to residents* of the Borough of Swale. Non-residents are required to pay double the burial charges set out below, except where indicated otherwise (Child Burials). All fees are payable in advance and we do not charge VAT unless stated.

All persons living in the Borough at the time of death are defined as 'residents'. For those living outside the Borough at the time of death, a qualification of a minimum of 15 consecutive years residency in Swale at some time in the past is required.
