Since the draft Core Strategy was first published in March 2012, much has changed. The Government has published its National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF). Unlike the 2012 draft Core Strategy, which only included the most important (strategic) development allocations, the NPPF looks to Councils to prepare Local Plans which should include the majority of the development allocations and planning policies needed to address an area’s needs.
