27th June-13th July 2008 Private View Friday 27th June 5-8pm The Castle Gallery Queenborough High Street, Isle of Sheppey ME11 5AH Sheppey weirdos are making paintings. The smell of turpentine rises from the surface of this misty swamp. A diverse eco-system of artists present their work in this remote fishing village. A gathering of outsiders who share in common their ‘swampie’ status, make up this exhibition, which questions the stereotypes of islander.
