A programme of regular corporate performance monitoring has been in place since 2007 and each month a report highlighting the key aspects of performance is considered by the Strategic Management Team, the Executive and our Scrutiny panel.
Our performance is measured using both national, government-set performance indicators and local, council-set targets.
The national performance indicators enable our performance to be compared with the performance of other district councils. Our local targets reflect our aim to be a performance-led organisation that delivers excellent public services, good value for money and effective community leadership
