Following the by-election held in Davington Priory Ward, Faversham on 12th March 2009, Swale Borough Council can announce that the newly elected member for Faversham Town Council's Davington Priory Ward is Jane Elizabeth Hawkins (Conservative).

The number of votes cast was as follows:

Davington Priory

Jane Elizabeth Hawkins (Conservative) 301 (E)

Trevor Raymond Payne (Labour) 207

Turnout 25.89%

The term of office for the newly elected member is until 2012.
